What is Cosmetic Dentistry?

  • A Cosmetic Dentist is a Dentist that specializes in the art of Dentistry. Cosmetic Dentists evaluate not just the gums and teeth, but also understand the correct proportions of what is considered beauty within our smiles. We also understand the materials and the properties within the materials that we use to be able to create the beautiful smiles that we want to create. More importantly, we also make sure that even though nothing lasts forever, we want to be able to retain the beauty in our smiles for as long as possible.

Understanding Cosmetics

  • Dental Crowns - A cosmetic dental crown is different than just a regular dental crown, as the teeth are prepared more conservatively for a cosmetic crown and each tooth is designed to the correct proportions, giving you a natural, beautiful look, every time you smile.

  • Dental Veneers - Cosmetic Dental Veneers are thin porcelain teeth that only cover the front (smile) portion of the teeth. Because these are so thin, they require minimal to no preparation of the teeth. These are done to enhance the smile, and each veneer is designed and fabricated in our own office. Dr. Osafi verifies all the cases to ensure that each and every tooth is perfect for his patients.

  • Smile Makeover - A smile makeover is a combination of both dental crowns, dental veneers, and/or dental implants where patients want to change the shape and color of their teeth. This is all completed in our own office and for longer appointments sedation is offered for our patients comfort.

Who We are

  • Dr. Osafi and his team create over 350 smile makeovers a year. His team of surgical and cosmetic assistants are not only trained on dental assisting, but are also involved in the digital lab fabrication of all the teeth.

  • No tooth is created the same. Each tooth is designed and fabricated differently for each and every patient. Because each tooth is hand-crafted, there are slight variations to each individual tooth, giving the most natural look to each dental crown or dental veneer.

  • Using digital dentistry, we are able to fabricate a digital wax-up or model of what the "ideal" teeth should look like. On the day of the treatment, we are then able to fabricate the temporary off of this new model.
